Offering rim-to-rim hiking, donkey rides, and whitewater rafting, Grand Canyon National Park is a hugely popular national park destination.

The South Rim’s South Entrance is open 24 hours/day. Overnight accommodations and some visitor services are available. To rent bikes at the Bright Angel Bike Rental, park in lot D.

What an amazing way to see the Grand Canyon. We take you on a 10.5-mile journey from the visitor center to Hermits Rest. All along the way, you see one spectacular view after another. From unbelievable vistas to wildlife, there’s so much to see.

Bicycling is a great way to experience the South Rim. Cyclists can enjoy approximately 13 miles (21 km) of roads and Greenway Trails that allow for more intimate explorations along the rim. If you get tired, load your bike or e-bike on one of the park’s bicycle-friendly shuttle buses – there is a bus stop every one-half to one-mile along the 13 mile-stretch.
