THE WONDER OF IT ALL: A First Look at the Largest Cruise Ship in the World
It’s the largest cruise ship in the world. It’s the ship class that has redefined cruising and it set sail on its inaugural cruise on March 4, 2022. But I get to offer you a preview of this magnificent ship that is The Wonder of the Seas.
The Wonder of the Seas is Royal Caribbean’s newest ship and it is so big it has its own eight different neighborhoods, including the all-new Suite Neighborhood. It has a totally redesigned pool deck as well as the all-new Wonder Playscape with slides, climbing walls, and games.
I recently had the opportunity to check out this amazing ship and in the video below, I give you a first look at the standard ocean view balcony cabin.
While aboard, I also had the opportunity to tour the Ultimate Family Suite. It certainly is fun and colorful with plenty of space for families. Check it out below.
Additionally, I had the opportunity to tour the Royal Loft Suite. This is one of the largest “cabins” I’ve ever seen. The the1,524-square-foot luxurious suite is designed for those that prefer more space and that “special touch”. After a day spent making inspiring new discoveries onboard and chasing sun-soaked adventures onshore, retreat to the most spacious luxury suites at sea.
Also new, Royal Caribbean adds The Mason Jar, reinventing Southern Low Country classics, Bayou staples, and bold BBQ. as a bonus, there will be live country music to entertain you as you feast on the new Southern cuisine.
And finally, below, you’ll get to see the ship in all its glorious detail in this full walking tour of the main public areas.
The Wonder of the Seas was originally scheduled to be homeported in China but now will be sailing out of Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale for the Spring to the Bahamas and Coco Cay. After that, she’ll head to Europe where she will offer 7-night cruises from Barcelona and Rome from May through October 2022.
This ship can sail with 5,734 guests at double occupancy. It’ll have around 2,300 crew members. It is 210 feet wide and 1,188 feet long. It is a massive 236,857 gross tons.
Like other Royal Caribbean ships, she’ll feature specialty restaurants such as Chops Grille, Coastal Kitchen, Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar, Izumi, Hooked Seafood, and many more.
New for The Wonder of the Seas will be an all-female Aqua Theater cast in a new show titled “InTENse”. The ice show on The Wonder of the Seas will be called “365: The Seasons on Ice” at the iconic ice skating rink, Studio B. This show will tell the story of the earth’s changing seasons told through the artistic movement of champion ice skaters.
Debuting later this year in the Royal Theater, Royal Caribbean’s very own superheroes- The Effectors: Captain Viz, Lume, Pixel, and Reverb return in an exhilarating, high-tech battle with their arch-nemesis Crash and his new sidekick, Burn.
This ship is a vacation in and of itself for the entire family. For the young and young at heart.
