Wine Tasting at Beringer Winery, Napa Valley
Jacob and Frederick Beringer purchased 215 acres of prime Napa Valley land in 1875. Thus began a tradition and business that would result in the longest operating winery in Napa Valley, even through prohibition.
On the veranda of the historic Rhine House, we savored the beauty of Napa Valley while tasting a selection of their current release reserve wines. This tasting took place at our own table on the beautiful wrap-around Veranda of the Rhine House that was built in 1886. It was a unique opportunity to drink in the history and be a part of their iconic winery and estate.
There are a variety of tastings that can meet anyone’s needs. We chose this to ensure we had shelter from any bad weather. It was a great choice even with the great weather we had as it allowed us to sit back and truly enjoy the gardens as we tasted some of the best wines in Napa Valley.
Completed in 1884 by architect Albert Schroepfer, Frederick Beringer’s former residence is now the centerpiece of the expansive Beringer property. ____________________________________________________________________________
